Zuhair Murad is a Lebanese fashion designer. Shortly after high school, Zuhair Murad moved from Beirut to Paris where he obtained his degree in fashion.

In 1997, Zuhair Murad opened his first atelier in Beirut and not long after has established a very high reputation in the international fashion scene.

In 1999 Murad made his first appearance on the catwalks of Rome with an acclaimed collection that has led to his participation in the Italian calendar.

In 2001, he presented his couture collection for the first time during Haute Couture Week in Paris, gained momentum with international media.

In 2005, Murad debuted the first Zuhair Murad Ready-to-Wear Collection.

In 2011, he signed a licensing agreement with an Italian manufacturer, launched a ‘Made in Italy’ Ready-to-Wear line of daywear and eveningwear.

In 2012, the Zuhair Murad Fashion House relocated to a new, eleven-story building in Gemayze, in the heart of Beirut. The majestic space houses not only the corporate offices, but the heart of the Zuhair Murad Design Studio, including designers, pattern makers, tailors and embroidery experts.

What began as a mere hobby soon turned into an empire of unique sophistication and revered fashion. "Ever since I was a child, I used to imagine designs for imaginary clients. I have always loved to work in the word of luxury and design...As my country in well known for its natural beauty...that expertise...made me fall into the world of haute couture," Murad has said. His lavish creations, in sensational colors and extraordinary fabrics, are reminiscent of Egyptian princesses, Grecian goddesses and pure, glorious splendor, complete with an edgy twist that modernizes his collections just enough.
