SUNLIT PHOTOS BY ANDRE ARMENT

"Photography is My Passion... I just a beginner, like a baby,.. many things i don't know."
- Andre Arment

Originally from Indonesia, Andre Arment finds his creative inspiration in this country where he grew up. Born in 1977 on the island of Sumatra, he has lived and worked in Jakarta as an independent photographer since 2004. He taught himself this practice, roaming the various regions of his country in his search for new encounters and visual sensations.

With over 13 000 islands, Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world. By placing the human figure at the heart of his concerns, the artist questions the relationship that people maintain with their environment. Indonesia’s natural world is still vast and wild, and owing to its tropical climate, the island still holds its status as the second largest zone of biodiversity in the world today, after Brazil.

Andre Arment brings a sensitive and poetic gaze to bear on his picturesque landscapes and on the lifestyle of its inhabitants, which he naturally relates to his childhood memories.

All his works sunlight filled up and captured variable life moments, revealed the human soul.
